Tyler, the Creator’s eighth studio album, Chromakopia, currently sits at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 album chart, giving the Grammy-winning rapper his third chart-topping album of his career. Chromakopia dropped on a Monday (October 28), instead of the industry standard Friday album release, making the 299,500 units moved in its first week even more impressive, given that there were only four days of activity instead of the typical seven. Tyler shared his impressive accomplishment in his recent Instagram Story, taking time to express appreciation for his fans. “300k. on a monday morning. thank you to every listener,” Tyler wrote. Chromakopia joins Tyler’s previous No. 1 albums, 2021’s Call Me If You Get Lost and 2019’s Igor, both of which also won Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album. Tyler also scored his first Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hits this week, with “St. Chroma,” featuring Daniel Ceasar, premiering at No. 7, and “Noid” sitting at No. 10. (Billboard)
